I love to cook....:)

Well, for those of you guys that might remember I was getting ready to go to culinary school at the beginning on the BBQ sauce contest. I ended up in a community college with a culinary program. Well, it turns out, I found out on Monday that I have been accepted to the Culinary Institute of America. I'm beginning either June 1 or May 11, not sure yet.

I'm getting married in May and my fiance and I are trying to think of some creative and cheap food options. I like the idea of Wedding fortune cookies. Wow what a season this has been. We watched as each of us put our talents to work. We used alot of our creativity in this as we had to make a suprise dish to a commercial all the while getting our public support I am actually kinda sad to see it end :( but looking forward to season 2. Also we watched as Alex launched this from nothing to almost 1,000 member site and it keeps growing I am not going to leave it just because the compition is over. Blind voting for all 3 sauces took place on Saturday at a private gathering of different folks - with sauces labeled A, B & C. A was Penny Malcolm's, B was Sheryl Robinson's and C was Diana Angenent's. Votes were monitored so that each person could vote only once. Anyway - the race was VERY close - A got 7.5 votes, B got 9 votes and C got 7.5 votes which means that Sheryl Robinson's sauce is Season 1's winning BBQ Sauce - congratulations Sheryl!

Is there a place on the site that has all of the recipes in one spot for easy downloading?

Now that we're done with the contest -- it will be fun to try some of the recipes. We really give credit to all of us 'true' non-professionals -- who are not chefs, don't own restaurants or catering services, etc., and who had fun with delicious recipes as home cooks. There is an amazing amount of talent across this country -- and BBQ certainly has different 'flavors' depending on geography. -sigh- Well, my part in the BBQ Sauce contest is over. I finished in 6th with a grand total score of 551. I hit the ground running, and out of all the people that applied, me being such a rookie, I'm proud. I was up agaisnt people who have cooked their whole lives. People who had someone other then the TV and Net showing them how to cook. I was up agaisnt the Top Chef Viewer Quickfire Challenge winner, and I finished in 6th.
